If You Cannot Fall Asleep
On all texts in the Knowledge area: I write here from my own work and perspective.
The most common reason why falling asleep, a short power nap or meditation is difficult for us is the same: We cannot settle our own thoughts. We are constantly thinking about the past, the future, problems, or analysing what has happened around us.
Sleep problems can have different causes. Most often, it is the thoughts and impressions of the past day that cannot be switched off when we want to go to bed. But they are often also signals from your body that want to tell you that something is burdening you or that something should be resolved.
What else helps
This is here because it is more honest than saying that a piece of music solves the problem.

During the day
- plenty of light
- plenty of movement
- meditation or a power nap instead of an afternoon nap
In the evening
- no coffee
- do not eat too late and eat lightly
- do not sit at the computer
- read or listen to an audio play
- air the room well
- a ritual that follows the same course every evening
If it lasts longer
- find out which issues are occupying you or which you are repressing
- herbal remedies such as valerian or St John's wort. St John's wort can weaken the effect of other medicines, including the pill. Ask at the pharmacy beforehand if you take something regularly.
Where the music helps
Observe, perceive, concentrate. Again and again. The thoughts then come to rest by themselves. For that, you need an object that your attention can hold on to: the breath, the body, an image, or music.
That is exactly the task of the sleep pieces. They give your attention something to do that is not thinking.
